I made a peplum top using one of my mom's old t-shirts. I traced one of my own t-shirts for the top part, and made a half-circle skirt for the bottom. I think it turned out pretty well. I will post a picture soon...once someone can take a picture of me when I happen to be wearing the shirt...
In the meantime, here is a picture of a dress I made a while ago. I got the cloth from Walmart. It was very cheap, $2.00 / yard, which is so much better than JoAnn's (so expensive).
